Will the stair noses match my flooring?
Yes! Treads Plus stair noses are made from the exact same luxury vinyl plank listed on the product page, ensuring a perfect match in both color and texture.
Will the stair noses click into my flooring?
Yes! Our stair noses are designed to click directly into the matching LVP flooring. In the rare event that your flooring comes in different thicknesses, please double-check that the thickness selected on the product page matches the thickness of your specific flooring.

How do I know what size of stair nose I need?
Stair noses are measured by height and length.
Height: We offer 1-1/8" and 1-1/2" options. This refers to the Inside Diameter of the nose:
- If your stair tread is 1-1/8" thick or less, select the 1-1/8" nose.
- Otherwise, if your Tread is 1-1/2" thick or less, select the 1-1/2" nose.
Length: Choose the shortest length that completely covers the stair from side to side.
What profiles do you offer?
We offer both Bullnose and Square Nose profiles. If you desire Square Nose and it is not listed for your product, please contact us—we’ll be happy to add it!
What's the difference between a Stair Nose and a Stair Tread Kit?
The Stair Nose includes just the front nosing piece. The Stair Tread Kit includes a stair nose plus an additional matching plank to cover the step. See our Stair Nose vs. Stair Tread Kit page for more info.
What if my flooring color isn’t listed on your site?
No problem! If you have vinyl flooring that’s not listed, contact us and we’ll add it!
What should I do for my risers?
If you want your risers to match your flooring, using the same Luxury Vinyl Planks (LVP) is a great choice and will provide a clean, cohesive look. If you prefer a white or paintable option to brighten the staircase, add visual contrast, and give your steps a more modern, finished appearance, we recommend our Treads Plus Waterproof Stair Risers. Both options are durable, low-maintenance, and offer a superior alternative to traditional painted wood risers.

Can I install the stair noses myself?
Absolutely! Our stair noses are DIY-friendly and straightforward to install.

Can I use these on open stair returns?
Yes, our stair noses can be installed on open stair returns. Visit our Open Stair Return Instructions for installation details.
What adhesive do you recommend?
We recommend Roberts 7350. For a caulk-tube application, Roberts 8600 is also a great option.
Do I need a stair nose for landings or top steps?
Yes! Our stair noses click directly into the flooring, making them ideal for landings and top steps.
What should I do if my wooden stair tread has been cut and no longer extends past the riser?
For safety and durability, it’s crucial that your stair nose is fully supported. If your tread has been cut and no longer projects beyond the riser, we recommend either replacing the tread or using one of our replacement stair noses, which are designed to provide proper structural support.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Most orders ship within 3 business days. If material must be special-ordered, processing may take up to 2 weeks. Delivery time ranges from 1–5 business days, depending on your location. If timing is critical, please contact us for an accurate estimate.
If I select overnight shipping, will my order arrive the next day?
Probably Not. Choosing an expedited shipping service like Next Day Air will reduce transit time once your order ships—but we still require time to source materials and fabricate your order. Most orders ship within 3 business days, but timelines may vary based on product availability. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for full details.
How much does shipping cost?
We offer free shipping on orders over $299. Shipping costs for smaller orders are calculated at checkout. Some exclusions apply—please see our Shipping Policy for more info.
